I'm originally from Louisiana, my wife Shannon from Michigan and our daughters Elianna, Mikayla, and Olivia from heaven. I graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS with an M.Div in Missions; ordained in the P.C.A. September 2003. We moved in 2003 from serving at Faith Christian Fellowship in Baltimore to plant a second congregation of Bethel Christian Church at the University of Chicago. We love the vastness, diversity, and challenges of Chicago. The deep dish pizza doesn't hurt matters.

I served as a chaplain for several years in the Cook County jail system and works with ex-offenders and gang members. During this time, I saw first-hand the eagerness that many men have to learn the Scriptures and be trained in ministry, nevertheless, some of these men had no college education and no funds to pay for a traditional seminary.
I'm grateful to be a part of this program, and I look forward to seeing the fruit of the lives of these students at City Seminary in building God's new city one life at a time.
